GRIEF-STRICKEN MOTHER FOUND PUSHING DAUGHTER’S DECOMPOSED BODY IN WHEELCHAIR
A 77-year-old woman was found pushing the severely decomposed remains of her daughter in a wheelchair around Walthamstow town centre, 14 months after her death. Tracey Turnell’s body was so decayed that her organs had turned to powder. Neighbours had reported foul smells for months, but authorities failed to intervene. Diagnosed with prolonged grief disorder and a brain tumour, Joan Turnell was deemed unfit to give evidence in court and was not prosecuted.
