Big Brother fans have praised Rhianna’s sister after she delivered a furious warning about Omar during an emotional family visit, accusing him of playing with her sister’s feelings.
Big Brother fans have praised Rhianna Collins’ sister after she confronted her about her turbulent relationship with fellow housemate Omar El Mayer in an explosive episode of the ITV reality show.
Friday night’s episode saw friends and family members enter the famous house to deliver messages to their loved ones, with the emotional reunions bringing some uncomfortable truths to the surface.
However, while the housemates were able to listen to their visitors, they were not allowed to speak back, leaving them unable to respond to the revelations unfolding in front of them.
And it was Rhianna’s sister who made one of the most talked-about interventions of the night, issuing a blunt warning about Omar and claiming his behaviour had been affecting her sister emotionally.
Speaking directly to Rhianna, she said:
“Omar I liked him in the beginning. I really really want you to know, the past two weeks he's been emotionally f**ing with you and I want you to know there is so much going on behind closed doors and he's so lucky I'm not in that f**ing house.”
Her powerful words left Rhianna facing an emotional reality check about a relationship that has become one of the biggest talking points of the current series.
The visit also came after days of growing concern among viewers over the pair’s increasingly volatile relationship, with fans taking to social media to question how Omar had been speaking to Rhianna.
The family visit comes amid a major backlash surrounding Omar and Rhianna’s relationship, which has attracted thousands of complaints to broadcasting regulator Ofcom.
An episode broadcast on Monday, 19 October, generated 7,138 complaints to Ofcom, making it the most-complained-about television broadcast in the regulator’s weekly report covering 13 to 19 October 2026.
The controversy centred on a heated conversation between the pair after Rhianna expressed doubts about their relationship and said she had been struggling emotionally.
During the exchange, Omar told Rhianna that her feelings were not facts and questioned her maturity. He also told her not to cry and urged her to look at him as their conversation escalated, leaving her visibly upset.
Rhianna was subsequently called to the Diary Room so Big Brother could check on her wellbeing.
The scenes sparked widespread criticism online, with some viewers accusing Omar of controlling behaviour and calling for him to be removed from the programme.
Following the backlash, Big Brother addressed Omar’s behaviour in the Diary Room during Wednesday’s episode.
He was told that he appeared at times to be dismissing other housemates’ feelings and experiences, and that some of his language and behaviour could cause offence to both his fellow contestants and the viewing public.
Omar denied dismissing Rhianna’s feelings, insisting he had not entered the house with bad intentions or any desire to act maliciously.
He maintained that he had tried to look out for her, reassure her and care for her throughout their relationship.
However, the warning did little to silence criticism from viewers, some of whom felt the intervention did not go far enough.
The controversy also prompted a response from domestic abuse charity Women’s Aid, which raised concerns about how the relationship was being portrayed on television.
The charity warned that airing behaviour perceived as controlling without sufficient context could risk presenting abuse as entertainment and minimising the experiences of survivors.
ITV has defended its approach to contestant welfare, stating that all housemates receive respect and inclusion training and are monitored around the clock.
The broadcaster also said a dedicated welfare team is available to support contestants before, during and after their time on the programme.
Ofcom confirmed that it was assessing the complaints but had not yet decided whether to launch a formal investigation.
