Saudi Arabia’s ambassador, Prince Khalid bin Bandar Al Saud, has confirmed that no alcohol will be allowed in hotels, restaurants, or stadiums during the 2034 World Cup, emphasising that the country will not alter its cultural norms. The ambassador also assured that the country will welcome all visitors, including gay football fans, while addressing ongoing human rights criticisms.
