British actor Sir Idris Elba has reignited the James Bond debate after saying the iconic spy franchise should not be made "woke". The Luther star, who was heavily linked to the role for years, argued that some audiences around the world would not accept a Black actor portraying 007 and that Bond should remain true to its original identity.
