THE SHADE BOROUGH ANNOUNCED AS OFFICIAL MEDIA PARTNER FOR UNITY CUP 2026

THE SHADE BOROUGH ANNOUNCED AS OFFICIAL MEDIA PARTNER FOR UNITY CUP 2026

We’re proud to officially announce that The Shade Borough will be the official media partner for the upcoming Unity Cup 2026 in London.

Taking place from 26 to 30 May at Charlton Athletic’s iconic stadium, The Valley, the four nation international tournament will bring together Nigeria, Jamaica, Zimbabwe and India for a huge celebration of football, culture and community.

Residents can expect exclusive content throughout the week, including behind the scenes access, fan moments, matchday atmosphere, interviews, reactions and more as we bring you closer to the action than ever before.

And yes… before you ask, the Champions League Final will also be shown during the tournament 🏆

The Unity Cup has become one of the biggest cultural football events celebrating AfroCentric and global diaspora communities, blending sport, music, identity and entertainment all into one experience.

Following the success of the 2025 edition at Brentford, where Nigeria lifted the trophy, the competition is now making a historic return to South London. Long time football fans may remember that The Valley previously hosted the Unity Cup back in 2004 in what became a landmark moment for diaspora football culture in the UK.

This year’s revamped edition promises even bigger energy, bigger fan experiences and a major spotlight on the cultures represented both on and off the pitch.

The Unity Cup Trophy

From Jamaica’s passionate fanbase to Nigeria’s football dominance, Zimbabwe’s rising excitement and India’s growing football culture, the tournament is set to bring serious atmosphere to London across all three matchdays.

The Shade Borough will be on the ground all week covering the biggest moments, the funniest fan interactions and everything happening around the tournament both inside and outside the stadium 🔥
