Tommy Robinson has become the subject of fresh online speculation after viewers noticed repeated sniffing, nose rubbing and restless body language during his recent interview with Australian television presenter Karl Stefanovic.
The interview, which was uploaded to Stefanovic's independent podcast before later being removed amid widespread backlash, has attracted millions of views through clips circulating on social media. While much of the controversy has centred on Stefanovic's decision to interview Robinson, many viewers have instead focused on Robinson's behaviour throughout the conversation.

Across several moments in the interview, Robinson can be seen frequently rubbing his nose, shifting in his seat and fidgeting while speaking. At multiple points, loud sniffing can also be heard clearly through the microphone positioned directly in front of him, prompting widespread discussion online.
As clips spread across X, TikTok and Instagram, many social media users speculated that Robinson's behaviour resembled that of someone under the influence of cocaine or experiencing the after-effects of using the drug. It is important to note, however, that there is no evidence that Robinson had taken cocaine before or during the interview, and his behaviour alone does not establish drug use.
The speculation was heightened because Robinson himself spoke openly during the interview about his past cocaine addiction.

During the conversation with Stefanovic, Robinson reflected on a difficult period of his life when he regularly used cocaine, explaining that his substance abuse became intertwined with heavy drinking and partying. He described the addiction as taking hold during years in which he was under significant pressure and said it eventually had a serious impact on both his physical and mental health.
Robinson also recalled suffering a heart attack, describing the experience as a major turning point that forced him to reassess his lifestyle. He explained that the health scare prompted him to move away from drugs and alcohol and focus on improving his wellbeing.
The discussion about his previous cocaine use has led some viewers to connect it with the behaviour seen throughout the interview, although Robinson did not suggest he was currently using drugs, nor did Stefanovic make any such allegation during their conversation.
Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley Lennon, is one of Britain's most controversial political activists. He founded the English Defence League in 2009 before leaving the organisation several years later. Over the past decade he has repeatedly made headlines through his anti-immigration activism, legal battles and criminal convictions, becoming one of the UK's most polarising public figures.

The interview itself has generated significant controversy in Australia.
Stefanovic, one of the country's best-known television presenters, described Robinson during the podcast as someone whose "tenacity" and "courage" he admired. The interview was uploaded to his independent podcast before being removed from YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts within hours following widespread criticism. Channel Nine later confirmed it had no editorial involvement in the programme, although it described the matter as being taken seriously.
The backlash has since had major consequences for Stefanovic's career. Following criticism from politicians, media figures and viewers, Nine confirmed the presenter would leave the broadcaster, bringing an end to his long-running role with the network earlier than originally planned.

While debate around the interview has largely focused on Robinson's politics and Stefanovic's decision to platform him, the footage itself has continued to attract attention for Robinson's visible mannerisms throughout the discussion.
Online reactions have been divided. One person commented:
"All paid for by his loyal gammon reform followers, sending him the last of their job seekers allowance for a bag LOL"
Another commented:
"This is these man's saviour! Sniffed up off a packet, still talking about boats when tax is through the roof and half of his followers are on benefits living off the land!"

Others urged caution against jumping to conclusions. One person commented:
"Literally just hayfever, I am like this as well, especially when I haven't been out for a while."
The footage continues to circulate online, with viewers drawing their own conclusions about Robinson's appearance. While the repeated sniffing and fidgeting have become a major talking point, the clips alone do not establish the cause of his behaviour, leaving the discussion firmly in the realm of public speculation.
