Safiyya Vorajee has seemingly found happiness again after confirming that she is in a new relationship with Dutch fitness trainer and social media influencer Virgil Sint Jago.

The 38-year-old has kept much of her romantic life away from the public eye since her relationship with former footballer and reality star Ashley Cain came to an end. However, Safiyya recently gave her followers a glimpse into her new romance, sharing a photograph alongside Virgil and opening up about the circumstances that brought them together.

The relationship marks a significant new chapter for Safiyya, who has spent the years since the devastating death of her daughter, Azaylia, navigating grief while continuing to honour her memory and support other families through the charity established in her name.

Safiyya and Virgil are understood to have met while she was visiting Bali, with the trip appearing to have played an important part in the new chapter she has described experiencing.

Taking to social media, Safiyya reflected on the unexpected way her plans changed before travelling to Bali, writing:

"Happy the universe changed my direction from Thailand to Bali.

"In a world that's so big we met exactly where we were meant to feel so happy.

"God always gets the timing right. Trust in him always. The most magical connection when you feel it in your soul."

The emotional message accompanied a cosy image of Safiyya and Virgil together, seemingly confirming the pair's relationship after she had previously teased that there was somebody new in her life.

Rather than simply focusing on the romance itself, Safiyya also spoke about how much the trip had meant to her personally, describing Bali as a place where she had experienced a sense of healing and calm. She told her followers:

"There's something so magical here that has healed parts of my soul I didn't even realise were still hurting.

"I've grown so much. My nervous system has finally experienced what real calm feels like. I've let my guard down, allowed myself to be vulnerable, and in doing that, I've found friendships and connections that have changed me forever."

Her comments suggest that the trip represented more than simply a holiday, with Safiyya appearing to credit the experience with helping her reconnect with herself and become more open to new relationships and experiences.

Virgil, meanwhile, is a fitness coach, online creator and influencer from the Netherlands, with much of his social media presence centred around exercise, physical wellbeing and his own fitness journey.

He has also appeared on the Dutch television programme Muscles & Brains, where he described himself as someone whose everyday life revolves heavily around fitness. Alongside his work as a fitness coach, Virgil has spoken about helping people work towards their physical and mental goals.

His professional background has therefore given him plenty in common with Safiyya, who has also spoken publicly about the important role exercise has played in her own life.

Following the death of Azaylia, Safiyya previously explained how cycling and exercise became an important outlet for her as she attempted to deal with the enormous loss of her daughter.

Azaylia was born in August 2020 and was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukaemia when she was just eight weeks old. Despite undergoing treatment and her parents raising millions of pounds in an attempt to access further treatment overseas, Azaylia sadly died in April 2021 at just eight months old.

Her death profoundly affected both Safiyya and Ashley Cain, who had been together since 2017 before eventually separating. Although their romantic relationship ended, the pair have continued to share a connection through their daughter and the work of the foundation created in Azaylia's memory.

Safiyya has remained open about the impact of losing her daughter, while also dedicating much of her time to keeping Azaylia's memory alive and supporting causes connected to childhood cancer.

In the years since Azaylia's death, Safiyya has also spoken about the ways she has attempted to rebuild her life while carrying her grief with her.

Her decision to publicly share her new relationship therefore represents a notable moment, particularly given how private she has remained about dating since her split from Ashley.

The new romance also comes after Safiyya previously described the bond she shares with Ashley as one that would remain because of their daughter, despite the pair no longer being together romantically.
