The son of late Nigerian-British businessman and social media personality Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo has spoken out following reports surrounding his father’s death, disputing the narrative that has circulated online.

Ubiribo, 43, died in Bangkok, Thailand, on March 6, 2026, after undergoing a cosmetic penile enhancement procedure involving hyaluronic acid filler.

An inquest in London subsequently concluded that Ubiribo died from a pulmonary embolism caused by the hyaluronic acid injection. Evidence heard during the inquest included findings from a post-mortem examination, which identified material in his lungs consistent with the substance used during the procedure.

According to reports from the inquest, Ubiribo had previously undergone four similar procedures at the same Bangkok clinic since 2024. During his final treatment, he received approximately 40ml of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine. The clinic reportedly told investigators that a doctor had recommended splitting the treatment across two sessions, but Ubiribo requested that it be completed in one.

However, his son Junior has now challenged the circumstances surrounding his father’s death, claiming that the family themselves have been left with unanswered questions.

“We as a family lacked complete clarity of anything that happened because it happened in Thailand,” Junior explained. “So we got to find out about all of this the same time you did.”

Junior went further by alleging that he believes his father was killed, while rejecting the way the cosmetic procedure has become the defining narrative surrounding his death.

“My dad was killed in March, and I say killed because although they’re trying to peddle this narrative that his penis needed to be bigger, that’s not what happened,” he claimed.

He also alleged that his father had injuries which he believes have not been adequately explained, including an injury to his forehead and a missing eye. No medical evidence confirming these alleged injuries has been made public, and they remain claims made by Junior.

Junior also directed allegations towards his father’s partner, fashion designer Danielle Simba Allen, claiming the family was not provided with sufficient information about what happened in Thailand. He additionally alleged that properties, watches and other possessions belonging to his father were taken to South Africa following his death.

Allen has not publicly responded to Junior’s allegations.

Junior’s comments come as Thai authorities investigate the Bangkok clinic where his father underwent the procedure.

Thai authorities said they are examining the clinic’s licensing and safety practices following Ubiribo’s death. The investigation is separate from the UK coroner’s finding on the medical cause of death and is intended to establish whether appropriate medical standards and procedures were followed.

Officials have said the clinic reported that Ubiribo had received five penile filler treatments since 2024, with his final treatment involving 40ml of filler. The clinic reportedly told investigators that a doctor recommended splitting the final treatment across two sessions, but that Ubiribo requested it be completed in one.

Following the procedure, Ubiribo reportedly experienced chest pain and collapsed while receiving a massage. He was subsequently taken to hospital, where medical staff attempted to resuscitate him for more than 100 minutes before he was pronounced dead in the early hours of March 6.

The inquest heard that his wife informed medical staff that he had recently received filler injections. A post-mortem examination carried out in the UK subsequently found material in his lungs matching the hyaluronic acid used during the procedure.

Despite Junior’s suspicions and allegations, the official medical finding remains that Ubiribo’s death was caused by a pulmonary embolism linked to the hyaluronic acid injection.

Beyond questioning the circumstances of his father’s death, Junior also addressed the jokes that have circulated online since details of the procedure became public.

“If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry, and I’ve done enough crying since March,” he said.

“I miss my dad. He didn’t deserve what happened to him, and he doesn’t deserve what’s happening to him now, for his name to be defiled.”

The comments come after details of the procedure and the coroner’s findings were made public months after Ubiribo’s death. His case has since attracted international attention, particularly because of the unusual nature of the cosmetic procedure and the fatal complication identified by the inquest.

The case has also prompted wider scrutiny of cosmetic penile filler procedures and the potential risks associated with them. Medical experts have warned that injectable fillers can cause serious complications if material enters blood vessels, although the risks vary depending on the substance used and how and where it is administered.

For Ubiribo’s family, however, Junior’s comments show that questions about what happened during his final days remain a significant concern.

While the London coroner has established the medical cause of death, Thai authorities are continuing to examine the clinic involved in the procedure. Junior’s allegations about the wider circumstances surrounding his father’s death remain unproven and have not changed the coroner’s conclusion.

As the Thai investigation continues, any further findings could provide additional information about the treatment Ubiribo received and the circumstances leading up to his death.
