Snoop Dogg has officially become part of the Swansea City family, joining the Championship club as a minority co-owner and investor. The 53-year-old rapper, real name Calvin Broadus, was revealed as the surprise face of Swansea’s 2025/26 home kit last weekend, but his involvement runs much deeper than a one-off promo.
Club officials have now confirmed that Snoop has acquired a stake in the club, following in the footsteps of Croatian legend Luka Modrić, who became part of the ownership group earlier this year.
Snoop shared via Swansea’s official site:
“My love of football is well known, but this feels different. "Swansea City is a proud, working-class club with a fighting spirit that really resonates with me. I’m honoured to be a part of this journey.”
The move is believed to have been sparked by a mutual connection between Snoop and the club’s American co-owners, Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen, who led a takeover in late 2024. Since then, they’ve been on a mission to grow Swansea’s global appeal, and few names bring star power like Snoop Dogg.
The club has even immortalised the rapper in mural form inside the Swansea.com Stadium’s West Stand, celebrating his role in shaping the club’s future.
The club’s ownership said in a statement:
“This is the next episode for Swansea City. His passion for football and global fanbase will help us create new opportunities and build a more competitive team.”
While based in the US, Cravatt and Cohen have been actively involved in pre-season activities, recently joining the squad at their training camp in Spain. Snoop himself has pledged to do “everything I can to help the club succeed,” marking a new era of ambition and visibility for the Swans. As Swansea eyes promotion and broader recognition, the addition of Snoop Dogg to its ownership group is not just a bold statement, it seems to be a power move.
