LOVE ISLAND'S SIMBA SURPRISES ANGELISTA FOR HER 25TH BIRTHDAY

LOVE ISLAND'S SIMBA SURPRISES ANGELISTA FOR HER 25TH BIRTHDAY

Love Island finalists Simba Ngwena and Angelista Musisi are proving their romance is continuing to flourish outside the villa, with Simba treating his girlfriend to an elaborate surprise for her 25th birthday just over a week after the pair finished third on the ITV dating show.

Taking to Instagram, Simba shared a glimpse inside the thoughtful celebration he had organised, capturing the moment Angelista walked into a beautifully decorated room before being overwhelmed by the surprise waiting for her.

The room had been transformed into a romantic birthday setting, filled with dozens of floating pink and lilac balloons hanging from the ceiling, matching balloons scattered across the floor and heart shaped balloons placed throughout the room.

Simba later shared another clip to his Instagram Story showing Angelista sitting on the bed surrounded by the decorations while admiring the setup, alongside the caption:

"Manifested this."

The birthday surprise marks another chapter in what has become one of this year's biggest Love Island success stories.

Although Simba originally entered the villa with a clear interest in Angelista, their relationship quickly encountered obstacles. Shortly after getting to know each other, Simba's attention briefly shifted towards fellow Islander Mica Ofori, leaving Angelista questioning where they stood and whether she should continue pursuing their connection.

Things became even more complicated during the Casa Amor twist when Simba formed a connection with Mara Pires, creating further uncertainty over whether he and Angelista would ever find their way back to one another. At one stage, Angelista appeared close to walking away from the relationship altogether after feeling hurt by Simba's decisions.

However, what followed became one of the defining storylines of the season.

Realising the mistakes he had made, Simba publicly apologised to Angelista in front of his fellow Islanders, taking full responsibility for how his actions had affected her. As the weeks progressed, viewers watched him consistently work to rebuild her trust, with many praising the maturity he showed in acknowledging his behaviour rather than making excuses for it.

His redemption arc reached its emotional peak when Simba confessed that he had fallen in love with Angelista, delivering one of the season's most memorable declarations. Angelista later returned those feelings, confirming she loved him too, a moment that cemented them as one of the villa's strongest and most popular couples.

From there, their relationship only continued to grow, with fans watching the pair overcome setbacks and strengthen their bond before going on to finish in third place in the Love Island final, cementing themselves as one of the season's most popular couples.

The birthday surprise quickly attracted hundreds of supportive comments from fans, many of whom said the romantic gesture perfectly reflected how far the couple have come since leaving the villa.

One person wrote:

"The effort and thoughts count! You know Simba was grinning bare teeth in the background!"

Another joked:

"I’m smiling bares like I’m in the room with them!", referencing Simba's now famous villa phrase that has since become an inside joke among viewers.

A third added:

"I don’t care, they should’ve WON this season!"

Although their Love Island journey was far from straightforward, the couple's willingness to work through challenges ultimately won over viewers, with many describing Simba's transformation as one of the biggest redemption arcs of the series.

Now, with the villa behind them, Simba's carefully planned birthday surprise suggests the romance that captivated audiences throughout the summer is continuing to blossom. Judging by Angelista's reaction, and the flood of support from fans online, their first major milestone outside the show is one they'll both remember for a long time.
