Russell Brand has been convicted of four sexual offences at Southwark Crown Court, with sentencing scheduled for Monday. The comedian and actor has been found guilty of rape and three counts of sexual assault following a four-week trial at Southwark Crown Court.
The 51-year-old was convicted on Thursday, 5 November 2026, after a jury considered allegations made by six women relating to incidents spanning several years.
Brand was acquitted of two further rape charges and one count of attempted indecent assault. He had denied the allegations throughout the proceedings.
The verdict marks a significant development in a criminal investigation that began following allegations published in September 2023.
The jury found Brand guilty of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault.
According to the Metropolitan Police, the offences for which he was convicted took place between 2004 and 2009 and involved four women.
The allegations included incidents at a London radio station, a DVD recording set and Brand's home.
Reuters reported that the jury also heard evidence concerning incidents at a London bar and other locations during the trial.
Brand's sentencing is scheduled to take place at Southwark Crown Court on Monday, 9 November. Judge Joel Bennathan indicated that he faces a lengthy prison sentence.

The trial involved six complainants, whose allegations related to incidents between 1999 and 2009.
The women came forward following media investigations and a Channel 4 Dispatches documentary broadcast in September 2023, which included allegations of sexual misconduct against Brand.
All six women are entitled to lifelong anonymity.
During the proceedings, the prosecution argued that Brand had used his celebrity status and influence to exploit women.
Brand rejected the allegations, maintaining that his sexual encounters had been consensual. His defence team also challenged the reliability of the complainants' accounts and raised concerns about the potential influence of the 2023 media coverage.
The jury ultimately found him guilty of four offences while acquitting him of the other three charges.

Following the verdict, the Metropolitan Police praised the women who reported Brand and gave evidence during the investigation and trial.
Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy said the verdict demonstrated the courage and determination of those who had come forward.
The investigation involved more than 100 witnesses, over 400 witness statements and a review of more than 1,400 documents.
Detectives also examined hundreds of hours of Brand's television appearances, stand-up performances, interviews and podcasts to help establish timelines and test witness accounts.
The Metropolitan Police began investigating after allegations were reported by Channel 4's Dispatches, The Times and The Sunday Times in September 2023.
Police have encouraged anyone else who believes they may have been a victim to come forward.
Brand is due to return to Southwark Crown Court on Monday, 9 November, for sentencing.
The judge has indicated that a lengthy custodial sentence is likely, although the precise sentence will be determined at the hearing. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that investigations into two additional allegations of rape against him remain ongoing.
