British YouTube creator Yung Filly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, has had his bail conditions amended so that he is permitted to fly back to the UK from Western Australia while he awaits trial on charges of sexual penetration without consent and assault causing bodily harm. The 28-year-old entertainer is accused of raping a woman and assaulting her in a Perth hotel room in September 2024, after performing at a nightclub event. Filly has pleaded not guilty to charges of sexual penetration without consent and assault causing bodily harm.
He was initially arrested in Brisbane and extradited to Western Australia following the alleged incident. He faces four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count of impeding a person’s normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to their neck.
While out on bail, Filly admitted to a separate reckless driving offence in December 2024, when he was caught driving at 158 kilometres per hour in a 100 kilometre zone. He was fined $1,000 (approximately £500), disqualified from driving for six months, and had his vehicle impounded.
Filly’s defence team applied for a change to his bail so that he could return to Britain for Christmas and spend time with his family. Prosecutors told the court they did not oppose the request, provided additional conditions were imposed to ensure he would return to Western Australia for his trial.
A Perth court amended his bail conditions today (12 September), permitting him to fly back to London for the Christmas period. He must return to Western Australia by 7 January 2026 and hand over his passport to authorities on 8 January.
As part of the bail requirements, Filly must provide a surety of $100,000 (approximately £50,000) and sign a personal undertaking for the same amount. He is also required to keep his electronic devices location-enabled at all times while abroad and is banned from making public comments on the case through social media.
The trial is scheduled to take place in July 2026 at the Perth District Court. There are additional rape charges pending to which he has not yet entered pleas. The court has emphasised that any breach of his bail conditions could result in his arrest and detention.
The amended bail was approved by District Court Judge Gary Massey. While in the UK, Filly must reside at a specified address in Kent, keep location services active on all electronic devices at all times, refrain from public commentary about the charges on social media, and is strictly prohibited from contacting the alleged victim.
Filly has consistently denied the allegations against him and pleaded not guilty to all charges. During his appearance in March 2025 he told the magistrate he understood every charge brought before him then entered not guilty pleas. He made no public statements about the case as he left court, apart from saying:
“Good afternoon” and “Enjoy the weather, it is a lovely day.”
He remains steadfast in his claim of innocence, insisting legally that he must be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
