Yung Filly is facing two more serious charges in Australia as legal troubles mount for the popular internet personality and musician. The UK-based rapper, real name Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, appeared before Perth District Court where prosecutors added two new counts of sexual penetration without consent to his existing list of charges.
The 28-year-old, known for his work with the YouTube collective Beta Squad and appearances on BBC Three and Channel 4's Celebrity Bake Off, was initially charged in March 2024 with three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, one count of strangulation, and four counts of sexual penetration without consent. He pleaded not guilty to all of them.
The alleged attack took place on 28 September 2024 in Perth, where Barrientos had been touring. A woman in her 20s accused him of sexually assaulting her in his hotel room after he performed at a venue in Hillarys, a beachside suburb north of the city.
Since October 2024, Barrientos has remained on bail while awaiting trial. Court documents released this week indicate that no plea has yet been entered for the two newly filed charges.
In addition to the sexual assault case, Barrientos also admitted to reckless driving during his stay in Australia. On 5 December, he pleaded guilty to being caught travelling at more than 96mph on Roe Highway near High Wycombe on 17 November 2024.
Despite his ongoing legal battle, Yung Filly remains a recognisable figure in UK media, known for his comedic content, viral YouTube videos, and mainstream TV appearances. A 10-day trial is scheduled to begin on 20 July 2026.
