British entertainer and online personality Yung Filly is facing further legal scrutiny after allegedly being found in possession of cannabis while on bail in Western Australia. The performer, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, was reportedly stopped by police in Greenfields, a suburb located approximately 70 kilometres south of Perth, on May 20. Authorities allege he was carrying more than half an ounce of cannabis and subsequently charged him with possession of a prohibited drug.

The matter was listed before the Mandurah Magistrates Court on Tuesday. Barrientos did not attend the hearing in person and was represented by legal counsel. Barrientos is due to return to the Magistrates Court in September to answer the cannabis possession allegation. The court appearance came shortly after the conclusion of a high-profile criminal trial involving allegations linked to an incident in Perth in September 2024.

During that trial, prosecutors alleged that Barrientos assaulted a 20-year-old woman following a performance and that the incident took place at the InterContinental Hotel in Perth. The case involved multiple allegations, including rape, assault and strangulation.

After deliberations, the jury found Barrientos guilty of assault-related offences involving the woman. The court heard allegations that he bit the complainant on the face and breast, causing bruising and an open wound. However, jurors acquitted him of three rape charges as well as one count each of strangulation and assault.

The jury was unable to reach a majority verdict on three additional rape charges. Prosecutors are now considering whether those unresolved counts should be pursued in a future trial. A decision is expected to be communicated to the District Court of Western Australia ahead of Barrientos’ next scheduled hearing on August 21.

Sentencing for the assault convictions will take place at a later date in the District Court.

The rapper and content creator has also previously faced traffic-related legal issues in Australia. In December 2024, he pleaded guilty to reckless driving after admitting to travelling at 158 km/h in a zone with a significantly lower speed limit on a Perth highway. The offence occurred the previous month and resulted in authorities impounding his vehicle.
