Katie Price has spoken candidly about her son Harvey’s relationship with his father, former footballer Dwight Yorke, revealing how limited their contact has been over the years while expressing hope that a bond could still develop in the future. The television personality has previously discussed Yorke’s absence from Harvey’s life. Harvey, who lives with ADHD, autism, Prader-Willi syndrome, and septo-optic dysplasia, has been raised primarily by Katie, who remains optimistic that father and son could one day build a meaningful connection.

Reflecting on the situation, Katie shared her belief that Dwight would enjoy spending time with Harvey because of his personality and sense of humour.

She said: “I wish Dwight… he would have such a laugh with Harv. He’s so funny. My mum tries every year to contact his manager and it’s the same answer, ‘not interested’.” Price added, "When I ask him who's Dwight? He says, 'He's black.' That's all he says."

Speaking on Andrew Gold’s Heretics podcast, Katie revealed how often she believes Dwight has seen Harvey throughout his life.

She said: “He’s got another son the same age as Princess and apparently sees him all the time. He’s seen [Harvey] about six times in his whole life… I wish he would get involved.”

Despite her frustrations, Katie explained that she has never wanted to close the door on the possibility of a future relationship between Harvey and his father.

When asked why she continues to leave that opportunity open, she replied: “I’m not that sort of person.

“I want him to be proud of Harvey, what he’s become. I always think people must say to Dwight, ‘I saw your son do this, he’s so funny.’ They must do it.”

Earlier this year, Katie publicly criticised Dwight in a Father’s Day social media post, accusing him of failing to acknowledge Harvey.

She wrote: “@officialdwightyorke19 you should be ashamed of yourself disowning your son.

“@officialharveyprice he lights up everyone who meets him which is a credit to me if only you treated him the same as your other son, says a lot about what a s*** dad you are .. period.”
