Residents, the #SuperEagles came, saw and conquered 😮💨🇳🇬🏆
Nigeria have been crowned champions of the 2026 Unity Cup after producing two dominant performances to lift the trophy at The Valley in South London.
The Super Eagles opened their campaign with a convincing 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe's Warriors before putting on another impressive display in the final, defeating Jamaica's Reggae Boyz 3-0 to secure the title.
From the opening whistle of the tournament, Nigeria looked like one of the strongest sides in the competition, combining attacking quality with defensive discipline as they marched their way to the trophy without conceding a single goal.
Jamaica had booked their place in the final after progressing through the opening stages of the competition, but were unable to stop a clinical Nigerian side determined to bring the Unity Cup home.
Elsewhere, India's campaign ended in disappointment after the Blue Tigers suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Zimbabwe in the third-place play-off.
Despite falling short of a podium finish, India's involvement marked another important step in the tournament's growing international profile, with supporters from all four nations bringing colour, energy and culture to South London throughout the week.
The 2026 Unity Cup was the fourth edition of the competition and saw Nigeria, Jamaica, Zimbabwe and India go head-to-head at The Valley, the historic home of Charlton Athletic F.C..
Following the success of last year's tournament, the Unity Cup once again showcased the power of football to bring together communities from across the African, Caribbean and wider global diaspora, with thousands of fans turning out across the week to celebrate both sport and culture.
And when all was said and done, there was only one team standing at the top! Congratulations to Nigeria, your 2026 Unity Cup champions 🔥
