G4 BOYZ, a rap duo from New York have been robbed after their London AirBnB appears to have been broken into.

The pair, known as Buggy and Ice Baby, were out of the premises in London at the time of the break-in. In a security footage video shared on social media, a group of four hooded men dressed in black appear to enter the property using a code. Buggy took to Instagram stories to ask ‘how the f they know the code to our air bnb??????’. The drill artists have offered a 100k reward for information about the burglary.

The rappers, who are also brothers, are from Staten Island in New York and have Ghanian and Nigerian heritage.

The two rap artists spent time in West Africa gaining a knowledge of music that originated there and started creating online content about topics such as their experiences growing up in the US. Now a successful drill double-act, the brothers ’latest single ‘Azul’, released in April this year, featured Nigerian artist Mavo. They are established in the NY Drill scene with songs such as "Patek Phillipe", but also have collaborated with UK artists such as G4 Choppa on tracks like "Local Scammer’’.

The pair were visiting London and say they were out in the city when their Airbnb property was broken into. Security footage appears to show the burglary taking place shortly after 5am on the morning of September 23.

The targeted incident has prompted a strong reaction from the rapper Buggy who appears to be highly frustrated with the alleged security breach. He took to his social media following the event saying he is “never using Airbnb again”.

The footage and Buggy’s subsequent social media posts have left questions over how the alleged intruders were able to enter the property without forced entry and whether the access code had been obtained beforehand. Those questions remain unanswered based on the information publicly shared by the rappers so far.

Buggy, via his Instagram @realg4boyzbuggy, also urged anyone with information to contact him directly, saying to ‘‘DM [him] asap if you got any info on these boys’’. The duo is now offering a massive 100k reward for information that could lead to the recovery of items or help identify those responsible. The enormous reward sum has prompted fans to question how valuable the stolen items are, with some suggesting high-end items like expensive jewellery and Richard Mille watches may have been swiped. In the security footage video shared to Instagram, the thieves so appear to be making away with several bags packed with what looks like stolen belongings.

TSB reported on the incident earlier on social media and residents were surprised at the enormous sum of prize money with one resident writing ‘what was stolen for you to be offering 100k tho?’, another voicing concern ‘that 100k could make them victims again!’ and one saying ‘100k and you choose to stay in an air bnb?!’.

An official metropolitan police report has not been publicly released by law enforcement confirming or giving any further details regarding the event, and the incident has yet to be independently verified.
