MOTHER AND DAUGHTER SET TO MAKE HISTORY PLAYING SIDE BY SIDE IN WOMEN'S FA CUP

Hazzana Parnell is no stranger to big football moments. She’s built an impressive career across the Midlands, known for her leadership, her coolness under pressure, and her ability to change a match with a single touch.

Football has been an important part of her life for decades, so it was no surprise when she shared the sporting world with her daughter, Remaya.

At just 16 years old,  Remaya Osbourne is a powerful force on the pitch. Often described as sharp, fast, and fearless when she’s locked in during a match.  With both parents professional footballers, Remaya grew up in a world where studded boots and grassy grounds were the norm. “I just grew up around the game, so my mum and dad have been playing since before I was born, both of them professionally…It’s just been part of me growing up.”

On the pitch, their chemistry is undeniable. Hazzana’s experience leads the line with authority. Remaya adds energy, edge and esurience for the sport.

The duo's next performance is one of the club's biggest matches,  the Second Round Proper of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup, where Hednesford Town will face Sporting Khalsa. It’s the kind of match that energises a club, but this year, there’s an added sense of significance.

This match goes beyond a standard cup tie,  it marks a powerful first. Hednesford Town have never had a mother and daughter line up together in an FA Cup fixture, and everyone around the club celebrates its importance. Whatever the result, the moment stands on its own: a family legacy stepping onto one of English football’s biggest stages, shoulder to shoulder.

The town of Hednesford continue to cheer on the mother-daughter duo as they prepare for their historic game, playing away at the Guardian Warehousing Arena in Walsall.
