A mum has claimed she was forced to evacuate her home after opening a SHEIN parcel that was allegedly covered in what firefighters described as a hazardous material.

Courtney Davies said she began feeling "dizzy and unwell" after handling the package, which contained bookmarks, magnets and stickers coated in a strong-smelling white liquid.

Concerned about the unknown substance, Courtney contacted the emergency services, prompting firefighters wearing Hazmat suits to attend her property.

According to Courtney, crews safely disposed of the contaminated items and advised her to leave her home while they assessed and dealt with the incident.
