Love Island winners Julia Majchrzak and Lorenzo Alessi have addressed the social media controversy surrounding their relationship, with Julia claiming her boyfriend’s online activity has left her publicly embarrassed.

The pair, who captured viewers' hearts after meeting during Casa Amor before going on to win the ITV2 dating series and its £50,000 prize, have found themselves at the centre of renewed relationship speculation since returning to the UK. Fans were quick to notice Lorenzo liking posts from several women on Instagram, prompting widespread discussion across social media.

Addressing the situation during a joint interview with Capital XTRA, Julia made it clear she was far from amused by the attention the situation had generated. She said:

"Guys, this is not funny. He's already embarrassed me online.

"He had no time to arrange a date in five days, but was sat in bed liking other girls' Instagram pictures."

Julia then highlighted another detail that had frustrated her, revealing Lorenzo had not even interacted with her own posts. Referring to her Instagram account, she added:

"Did you even have time to like my photos? Guess what, guys, he's not under my Instagram!"

Lorenzo laughed as the topic was raised before attempting to explain the reasoning behind his actions, insisting there had been no bad intentions. He said:

"This is the thing. I feel like why I didn't want to rush things in the villa... We're not running around getting married tomorrow.

"I'm learning how to be in a committed relationship, and I'm learning what is acceptable and what is not."

The Love Island winner went on to admit he had not expected his online activity to receive such intense public scrutiny after leaving the villa.

He continued:

"To be 100 per cent honest, it was pure naivety. I did not think it would be picked up by the press.

"These are now real-world things that we can experience together."

His comments come after fans closely monitored the couple's social media activity following their departure from the villa, with many questioning why they had yet to share much content together while other finalists had been posting regularly.

The discussion also follows the pair's widely shared appearance on This Morning, where Julia repeatedly questioned Lorenzo about why he had not organised a date since they returned home. During the interview, the couple confirmed they were still dating exclusively, although Julia playfully continued pressing Lorenzo about when their first proper date would finally happen.
