Love Island viewers have criticised Simba following a tense episode that saw him react angrily after Mica turned down his invitation to spend the night in the Hideaway. The drama unfolded after Simba and Mica shared two kisses during their time at the sleepover villa, leaving him with a difficult conversation to have with his partner, Angelista. After returning to the main villa, Simba sat down with Angelista and revealed that he and Mica had grown closer while apart.

"I expressed to you that I was trying to get to know Mica a little bit more, whilst also trying to be respectful to you and your feelings," he told her.

"We had a kiss outside of the challenge last night.

"I would like the opportunity to go to bed with her, share a bed with her… the only option I have is to take her to the hideaway."

A stunned Angelista replied: "So that's what you want to do? You want to go to the hideaway and leave me sleeping there by myself?

"When nobody's been the hideaway [yet]… you want to be the first?"

Angelista was later seen wiping away tears as she tried to process the news, while a visibly uncomfortable Mica watched on.

Despite expressing an interest in getting to know Mica further, Simba's plans quickly unravelled when she decided against going to the Hideaway.

Pulling him for a chat, Mica explained that while she was open to exploring their connection, she didn't feel comfortable taking things to that stage.

"So obviously, I think you can tell from my initial reaction and I'm going to trust my gut and say no," she said.

"It's not that I don't want to share a bed with you but I just feel that this isn't right.

"And it's not your fault, I really appreciate that you feel this way and I do want to explore this but it's a lot."

Simba responded: "I've put you in a tough predicament and obviously I appreciate you being honest."

However, Mica stood firm in her decision.

"I still want to get to know you but I don't want you to ruin a good thing," she told him.

As she continued explaining her feelings, Simba appeared distracted, looking down at his shirt and brushing something away.

"Hello!" Mica said, questioning whether he was paying attention.

"I'm listening," Simba replied.

She added: "I'm happy getting to know you, but I don't know where my head is at. I feel like I'm going to trust my gut but it doesn't mean I'm not going to talk to you and we can hang out all tomorrow."

Moments later, Simba abruptly ended the conversation, giving Mica a quick hug before walking away.

Clearly frustrated, he vented: "Now I'm going to look like a f***ing idiot, go talk to Angie an that."

Mica later told the girls that Simba had not taken the rejection particularly well.

Meanwhile, Simba continued expressing his frustration to the rest of the villa.

"I'm fed now, so fed, oh my f***ing days," he said.

Mica, who was left unimpressed by the exchange, admitted: "I'm p***ed off now."

Later, Simba was seen storming towards the bedroom as he muttered: "I don't even know what they want man."

The scenes quickly sparked debate among viewers online, with many criticising the Islander's reaction to being turned down.
