AJKnowsBall, a football content creator, has sparked conversation online after making fun of Bukayo Saka following the Arsenal star's recent Sócrates Award win.

Saka was announced as the winner at the 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony on 26 October, receiving recognition for his humanitarian work and charitable contributions outside football. The award was presented by Nigerian singer Burna Boy at the London Palladium.

The 25-year-old was recognised particularly for his partnership with charity organisation BigShoe, which has helped fund life-changing medical operations for children. His charitable work includes sponsoring operations for 120 children in Nigeria, alongside further support for children in other African countries. The award is designed to celebrate footballers who use their influence to make a positive difference beyond the sport, rather than recognising their performances on the pitch.

However, despite the positive recognition, content creator AJKnowsBall appeared to take aim at the Arsenal player, saying:

"So Saka got an award for being a good yute", joking about his latest achievement.

AJKnowsBall's reaction has attracted attention across social media, with football fans discussing the creator's remarks and whether Saka's latest recognition deserves to be taken more seriously.

One user commented:

"Welcome to the UK, where people like to hate on others for no reason lol"

Another said:

"So helping people is to be mocked now?…Weird 🫠"

While AJKnowsBall has now deleted the video, Saka's award has also generated wider conversations about the importance of recognising footballers for their contributions away from the pitch, rather than focusing solely on their performances and achievements in the sport.

Whether AJKnowsBall's comments were intended as harmless football banter or a more direct dig at the England international, the conversation has certainly put Saka's latest achievement back in the spotlight.
