UK THANOS RESPONDS AFTER BEING CALLED OUT OVER RELATIONSHIP RUMOURS

Content creator Tumelo, known online as UK Thanos, has found herself back in the headlines after clapping back at Shxts N Gigs hosts James Duncan and Fuhad Dawodu over ongoing rumours linking her to Fuhad 👀

The drama kicked off after the podcast hosts discussed speculation surrounding Tumelo’s mystery fiancé, with many online convinced the man in question is actually Fuhad. Addressing the situation on their podcast, James criticised the continuation of the rumour, calling it “unacceptable” and suggesting Tumelo’s real partner should publicly clear things up and proudly claim his fiancée.

“The fact she’s made multiple videos carrying on this narrative is unacceptable. You’re someone’s fiancée,” James said, adding that if he were the mystery man, he’d feel embarrassed by the situation and the online speculation surrounding it.

Fuhad, who sits at the centre of the rumours, agreed with James, saying that if he were in the fiancé’s position, he’d come online and publicly claim his woman instead of allowing the internet to continue speculating.

But Tumelo wasted no time responding.

Taking to TikTok, the creator immediately shut down claims that she’s been hiding or denying her partner, explaining that she actually posted him publicly back in January before later removing the content due to the chaos it caused online.

“I’ve liked several comments saying it’s not him… I’ve never not claimed my fiancé, he’s just not known to the public,” she explained.

Tumelo also revealed that after posting her partner, she allegedly began receiving messages from women making up stories about him despite never meeting him before.

Doubling down further, Tumelo challenged James to produce evidence of her intentionally fuelling the Fuhad rumours. “If you can find one screenshot of me encouraging the Fuhad comments, I’ll give you £10,000… I’ll take out a loan to pay you.”

And in true Tumelo fashion, the response didn’t stop there. Continuing on James, she added:

“I think the real reason you’re upset is because people are trying to link me with your man.”

Following backlash from people accusing her of overreacting, Tumelo uploaded a second video defending her response, explaining that the clip had gone viral in South Africa, where her actual fiancé is based, and insisting she would continue protecting both herself and her relationship from online narratives.

“You’re trying to make your viewers perceive my man in a type of light where he’s a b*tch, and that’s never going to run,” she said.

Online reaction has since been intense, with many viewers now calling on James to publicly apologise to Tumelo, arguing that she was unfairly painted as someone disrespecting her relationship for engagement. Others praised Tumelo for standing firm and refusing to water down her response, with many saying her confidence and directness are exactly why audiences gravitate toward her content in the first place. Across social media, supporters have described her as “standing on business” and applauded her for defending both herself and her fiancé so publicly.

The discourse has also reignited wider conversations around Shxts N Gigs itself, with the podcast often receiving split reactions online. While supporters view the show as harmless banter between friends and credit the duo for helping redefine UK podcast culture, critics argue some conversations can lean into misogyny, messy relationship discourse and “podcast bro” rhetoric disguised as comedy.

Hosted by James Duncan and Fuhad Dawodu, Shxts N Gigs has grown into one of the UK’s biggest podcast platforms, amassing more than 2.2 million YouTube subscribers through chaotic humour, relationship debates and unfiltered conversations around modern dating and internet culture.

While the duo have built a loyal fanbase and sold-out live shows across the world, the podcast has also faced criticism in the past over resurfaced clips and accusations of misogynoir, particularly regarding comments about Black women, as well as backlash tied to controversial online collaborations. Supporters often defend the pair by arguing their content is rooted in comedy and banter, while critics say some discussions regularly blur the line between humour and harmful rhetoric.
