TikTok personalities UK Thanos, known off-screen as Tumelo, and Zino (zino.sbr) have become the centre of online drama after their whirlwind romance played out on social media. The pair, who went public in late August, appeared smitten before a heated livestream, cheating accusations, and a string of TikTok posts revealed a public break-up and claims of an abortion.
On 27 August, TikTok influencers UK Thanos (real name Tumelo) and Zino shocked followers by confirming they were in a relationship. Given their individual online notoriety, many fans were initially sceptical, suspecting a publicity stunt. But the couple insisted their romance was genuine and had purposely kept it private until they felt ready to share it.
Over the following days and weeks, the pair posted cosy videos together, mukbangs, music-overlaid clips, and affectionate moments with arms around each other, gradually convincing viewers that the relationship was real. Public sentiment began to soften, and many fans embraced them as a legitimate couple.
However, tensions soon surfaced. During a livestream, Tumelo questioned Zino’s whereabouts and loyalty, accusing him of lying about his movements in Leicester. The exchange escalated when she asked about a comment he made regarding “uni wives,” teasing:
“Yesterday you were talking about uni wives, so who is cooking you mac and cheese today?”
Zino brushed it off, claiming:
“I’m just generalising topics and conversations, you know me.”
When he suggested it “should be” Tumelo cooking, she retorted that he didn’t deserve it because of how he had embarrassed her online, and that he should,
“Knock on someone’s accom door and hope for the best.”
Soon after, Tumelo confirmed on a separate live stream that the relationship was “dead,” saying:
“He’s with a different girl and I’m with a different guy.”
Zino responded with a TikTok lip-sync to DeeOrSlim’s Shadybop, captioned “U my bm I won,” implying she was pregnant.
Tumelo then posted a City Girls lip-sync, “my n***a acting crazy, I’m about to get rid of his baby”, while appearing to be at a clinic. Another post referencing “Christina’s gone” fuelled speculation that she had terminated the pregnancy.
Zino urged followers to contact Tumelo, saying miscommunication had spiralled into misunderstanding. In a TikTok, he pleaded:
“At least try to understand my point of view. Instead you’re saying I cheated. What you talking about!”
After the video insinuating she had an abortion, Tumelo called out critics of her abortion decision, criticising those judging her while struggling themselves. She said:
“They’re going on and on about abortion, and then I go on their account and it’s just their PayPal in their bio, and they’re going on about how they want to afford Christmas for their three kids. Maybe if you used the resources available to you after you realised you couldn’t afford your first kid, your kids’ gifts wouldn’t be from Poundland clearance.”
The dispute escalated further when Zino adressed questions about a woman named Marie, telling followers to “mind their business” and reminding Tumelo of their private conversations. He professed his love for her despite the conflict, adding:
“I told you I’m sorry, so it’s either you forgive me or not.”
Tumelo, however, declared:
“The family is destroyed. Destroyed. Finished. Everything. There is no chance of reversing decisions at this stage, everything is over with,”
While mocking Zino for repeatedly calling her over "100" times.
Tumelo, known online as UK Thanos, gained significant attention following a heated appearance on the YouTube series Off The Record. During the interview, she and the host, Malachi from South, engaged in a tense exchange that escalated to the point where the host walked off set.
The interview began with Tumelo discussing her rise to fame and her experiences on social media. However, the conversation took a turn when the host pressed her on certain topics, leading to a back-and-forth that became increasingly confrontational. At one point, Tumelo challenged the host's questions, asserting her perspective and pushing back against what she perceived as biased or unfair questioning.
The situation reached its peak when Tumelo made a pointed remark, causing the host to visibly react and ultimately leave the interview mid-recording. This unexpected exit left viewers stunned and sparked widespread discussion online.
The incident quickly went viral, with clips circulating across social media platforms and drawing attention from both fans and critics. Many praised Tumelo for her assertiveness and ability to stand her ground, while others debated the appropriateness of her approach.
Following Tumelo's post which she captioned "Anyways stop calling me boo", Zino dismissed her statements, insisting:
“I don’t know why she is making videos, knowing we are not breaking up. All this, just to be in my bed tomorrow.”
He admitted commenting on another woman’s post was inappropriate but maintained their bond was too deep to sever.
As of now, Tumelo says the relationship has ended, while Zino appears confident the two will reconcile, leaving the public captivated by the unfolding saga.
