Ofcom is investigating Sky News after they mixed up protests against the death of Chris Kaba with mourners paying tribute to the Queen.Chris Kaba, 24, who was unarmed, died earlier this month after being shot by a Met Police officer in South London.Ofcom said in a statement: "We're investigating whether Sky News broke our rules requiring due accuracy in news.

"On 10 September it reported that the Justice for Chris Kaba march was people on their way to pay tribute to the late Queen."Sky News and presenter Sarah-Jane Mee issued an apology after the broadcast.

Writing on her Twitter page, Mee said: "I made a mistake on air, I wrongly identified crowds in Trafalgar Sq as some of the 1000s heading to Palace when at that moment it was people turning out for Chris Kaba. "I'd like to personally apologise to those involved. We are covering the march & its significance later today."A statement from a Sky spokesperson also read: "We apologise for a mistake made earlier today which accidentally misidentified aerial pictures of a protest march for Chris Kaba as a large gathering paying tribute to Queen Elizabeth II."We have also issued a correction on air to clarify the footage previously shown."
