Content creator Nella Rose has sparked conversation online after questioning the authenticity of Tyrique Hyde’s relationship with Samie Elishi during a recent episode of Footasylum’s Bad Friends.

The episode, which also featured Harry Pinero, Specs Gonzalez and Darkest Man, quickly took a turn when Specs made a passing comment about Tyrique’s current relationship status. Suggesting that Tyrique might not actually be with the woman he’s been posting, seemingly referencing Samie, the remark prompted an immediate reaction from Nella.

"You think we don't know?" she interjected, catching Tyrique off guard. She doubled down moments later, adding, “You’re in your current relationship for clout,” leaving the room in a mix of shock, laughter and anticipation.

Tyrique appeared briefly stunned before the moment shifted into playful tension, with the pair engaging in a light-hearted staring contest before he jokingly erupted in response. What followed was a back-and-forth exchange, with Tyrique accusing Nella of being a “fake man hater,” while she confidently pushed back, claiming she has more dating options. “I 100% get more tings than you,” she said, even suggesting they compare phones to prove it.

The clip has since circulated across social media, with viewers dissecting the exchange. Some felt Nella’s comment may have struck a nerve, noting that Tyrique, often known for his sharp comebacks,  handled the moment more cautiously than expected. Others, however, were quick to defend him, backing the legitimacy of his relationship with Samie.

While the moment has fuelled online debate, the tone between the two remained largely playful. As friends outside of the show, the exchange appeared to reflect their dynamic;  one rooted in banter, even when the lines blur into more personal territory.
