Mis-Teeq’s reunion appears to have taken an unexpected turn after reports emerged that the iconic girl group have split, just one week after they reunited for a sold-out show at London’s OVO Arena Wembley.

The development was first reported alongside the announcement that Sabrina Washington is set to embark on her own UK headline tour, titled ‘A One Night Stand Just Ain’t Enough’.

Washington’s solo tour announcement came shortly after Mis-Teeq returned to the stage for their highly anticipated 25th anniversary reunion show on September 12, bringing together Washington, Alesha Dixon and Su-Elise Nash for the first time in more than two decades.

The Wembley concert had been billed as a special one-off celebration of 25 years since the release of the group’s debut album, ‘Lickin’ On Both Sides’, with fans travelling to see the trio perform some of their biggest songs.

However, news of the apparent split has now been thrown into question after Su-Elise Nash publicly responded to reports that the group had decided to go their separate ways. Sharing a screenshot of the original report on Instagram, Nash added a written message across the post which read, “Mis-Teeq have split? That’s news to me…”In the caption accompanying the post, she explained that, as far as she understood, the group were still discussing several potential opportunities for 2027.

“As far as I was aware, today was our deadline to make a decision on some incredible Mis-Teeq offers for 2027…including headlining a major UK festival, performing at another huge UK festival and potentially taking the show regional for everyone who couldn’t make Wembley.”

Nash went on to say that the response to the Wembley reunion had left her believing the trio were likely to continue their comeback in some form.

“After this incredible response to our sold-out Wembley arena show, I genuinely believed these were opportunities we were all excited about and hopefully saying YES to today as Mis-Teeq!”

She then revealed that she was surprised to discover that a press release had reportedly been sent to the media announcing that Mis-Teeq had split.

“So to find out that a press release went out to media today saying ‘Mis-Teeq have split’ has taken me by surprise.”

“That’s news to me…”

Despite the apparent disagreement over the group’s future, Nash ended her statement by celebrating what Mis-Teeq had achieved with their return to Wembley.

“Either way, I’m incredibly proud of what we achieved at Wembley and so grateful to everyone who came out to support us!”

Nash also liked and pinned a comment beneath the post which directly criticised Washington over the situation. The comment read:

“This shows a complete lack of integrity @SabrinaWashington. To pull a STUNT like this is truly disappointing. It’s also incredibly disrespectful to Mis-Teeq’s legacy. God doesn’t like ugly. This has genuinely made me very sad.”

The comment represents the view of the individual who posted it and was not a statement from Nash herself.

Sabrina Washington announces solo tour

The confusion comes after Washington announced that she will be taking Mis-Teeq’s music on the road as part of her own headline tour.

‘A One Night Stand Just Ain’t Enough’ is set to celebrate more than 25 years of Mis-Teeq alongside Washington’s career as a solo artist.

The singer is expected to perform a selection of Mis-Teeq’s best-known songs, including ‘Scandalous’, ‘All I Want’, ‘One Night Stand’ and ‘Why’, alongside solo material such as ‘OMG’, ‘Make It Hot’ and ‘Don’t Call Me’.

The tour announcement came just one week after the Wembley reunion, adding to the surprise surrounding the group’s future.

According to reporting around Washington’s announcement, her camp has indicated that there are no further Mis-Teeq dates or new music planned, while Nash’s Instagram statement suggests that discussions over potential 2027 performances were still ongoing from her perspective.

That leaves the circumstances surrounding the reported split unclear, with the public statements from the members currently presenting different accounts of where the group stood before the announcement.
