Love Island Winners Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti Announce Second Split

Love Island's Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu took to her Instagram Story to share the news of her separation from co-star Davide Sanclimenti.

In a heartfelt statement, she acknowledged the highs and lows of their relationship over the past 18 months, emphasising their desires to make things work.

The statement read "The last 18 months have been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, just like every relationship,"

"Davide and I both wanted to make this relationship work as we cared deeply for each other."

Despite their efforts, Ekin-Su revealed her recent decision to end the relationship, expressing the challenges of breakups and requesting privacy during this time.

"Unfortunately, I have recently made the decision to end our relationship and to go our separate ways," she continued. "Breakups are never easy for any couple, and we hope that our privacy will be respected at this time."

Referencing their Love Island journey in 2022, where they were crowned the winners of the season, Ekin-Su expressed her gratitude for the shared moments and memories while acknowledging the support from fans. Davide has yet to respond publicly to Ekin-Su's announcement.

"I enjoyed our time together and will cherish the memories we made. Thank you for your continued support," she said.

"It's been so lovely to have you follow our Love Island journeys together since the villa and we hope you'll continue to follow our careers as we go off in our own directions."

Davide and Ekin-Su emerged as the winners of the eighth series of Love Island in 2022, gaining a sizeable fanbase during their time on the ITV show. After the reality dating show ended,the couple stayed together and even took the step of living together at one stage.

This marks the second time the Love Island-winning couple has parted ways, with Davide previously stating their separation in late June. Despite rumours of a reunion in August, the couple confirmed their renewed relationship in October 2023.
