Speaking with Zeze Mills, Lotto Ash confirms the split of the musical duo, Lotto Boyzz, revealing their relationship fizzled out.
Lotto Ash former member of Birmingham-based duo, Lotto Boyzz has revealed for the first time why the duo went their separate ways.
The ensemble whose names are Ash Kirnon and Lucas Henry first came onto the scene in 2016 with their first song Gangsta which featured Moelogo. They switched up from being Ash & Lucas and became Lotto Boyzz (Lotto standing for Last Of The Trill Ones).
In an interview with Zeze Millz, Ash revealed that the pair built their friendship on the back of music and when they became unhappy, things fizzled away.
Ash added, that the two remain amicable and described former partner Luke as a "cool guy".
Their musical style was a part of a subgenre of Afrobeats-inspired music known as Afro-bashment/ Afro-swing and have put out hits such as "Bad Gyal", "No Don" and "+44"which featured Dappy that topped charts and built them a solid fan base.
The pair met at the Aston Cross youth club, The Transformation Centre and began creating music with their final song together being released in 2020.
The two have gone on to focus on their solo endeavours and musical careers with Lotto Ash featuring on the Single 'How Many Times' with fellow Birmingham star 'M1llionz' and dropping his newest single, 'No Need' and Lotto Lucas still making music having released single 'Come First' earlier this year.
