Dancehall Artist, Lisa Mercedez took to her Instagram story to open up about some of the struggles she faced in Jamaica growing up.

In the post, she spoke about her early years in Jamaica. She started off by saying "Growing up in Jamaica as a little child was even worse than growing up here"She went on to reveal that during her time in Jamaica, she was allegedly molested by a cousin who used to visit from New York.Not only did she reveal this, but she also went on to speak about her 18-year-old neighbour who used to babysit her when she was 13 at the time, who she claimed also sexually "took advantage" of her.Lisa received a multitude of supportive messages after her revelations and thanked everybody who showed her love.

Lisa pulled up to the Borough comment section to offer some advice to those who have been through similar situations and revealed that she plans to do a documentary and start a support group saying:"Thank you guys for sharing, also anyone that's going through or have been through similar situation, please feel free to dm me, I'm planning to do a documentary and start a support group. Im not being funny but I just feel like there's not enough support system over here for people that goes through sexual abuse"
