KSI fans were left worried for the YouTuber turned boxer on Saturday evening after he was seen gasping for air after taking a sip of his drink on live television.

On Saturday evening, a reported 4.5 million viewers tuned into the popular talent competition, where contestants from across the UK compete before a panel of judges. KSI appeared as a guest judge, stepping in for regular judge Bruno Tonioli, who was busy filming Dancing with the Stars in the US.

However, whilst the rest of the judges had their eyes on Ant and Dec, and the contestants had their eyes on the prize, cash and a spot at the Royal Variety Show, KSI began quietly choking.

KSI, who has amassed a flabbergasting 46+ million combined subscribers across all his channels and leveraged that into an empire worth more than £100 million, could be seen taking a sip of his drink through a straw, which appeared to have gone “down the wrong hole”.

The 32-year-old Hertfordshire born star then lunged into a coughing fit, which he tried to keep as quiet and inconspicuous as possible, but he appeared to struggle to stop himself coughing. He eventually managed to compose himself, but his hoarse voice could be heard when he introduced the next act.

Many viewers at home noticed the unfortunate incident and expressed concern for him via social media, with one viewer writing:

asking: “@KSI are you ok? Were you choking on your water?”

However, the other judges, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, and Alesha Dixon, appeared not to notice, or were perhaps so seasoned that they have learned not to let anything veer them off script.
