Usain Bolt joined DJ AG in the DJ booth at Puma’s Oxford Street flagship store at a London Marathon pop-up event on Sunday, appearing alongside the open-format DJ sensation as part of a vibrant celebration of sport, music and community.

The eight-time Olympic gold medalist was greeted by an energetic crowd and took part in performances that included dancers, singers and MCs, creating a lively atmosphere at the store for visitors and fans who had gathered for the activation.

Bolt spoke with DJ AG during the event and discussed his desire to see Jamaican dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel perform as a guest in one of his sets, while also name-checking another well-known Jamaican artist, Baby Cham, showing his appreciation for the music that has influenced him.

Baby Cham was among the artists announced to be playing at DJ AG’s inaugural AG FEST later this year, set to take place on Saturday 25th July at Copthall Playing Fields in Barnet, further highlighting the event’s blend of sport, culture and music.

DJ AG, whose real name is Tottenham-born Ashley Gordon, has gained a viral following online for his street sets and livestreamed performances, with stars including Ed Sheeran, Jorja Smith, Skepta, JME and Will Smith all stopping by to take the mic alongside emerging artists such as Nicole Blakk.

During the event, Bolt clearly enjoyed the interaction and openly spoke about the artists he appreciates, adding a personal touch to the day’s festivities and delighting guests who had come to see both the sporting legend and the rising DJ talents in action.
