British rapper Digga D has once again found himself at the centre of legal proceedings, this time for driving a luxury Lamborghini without valid insurance in central London.
The artist, whose real name is Rhys Herbert, was convicted of the offence while serving a prison sentence at HMP Brixton. He is currently incarcerated following a conviction for importing and distributing nearly 50kg of cannabis, for which he received a custodial sentence exceeding three years.
The latest charge stems from an incident in October 2023, when the 24-year-old was caught driving the high-end vehicle uninsured along Piccadilly, a busy area of London’s West End. Piccadilly Circus, where the incident occurred, is familiar territory for the rapper, who has previously filmed music videos in the area. One such occasion led to chaos as fans swarmed the site and climbed the iconic Eros statue.
Court records indicate that Herbert now faces the possibility of a driving disqualification and an unlimited fine. His sentencing is likely to be carried out remotely, with the rapper appearing via video link from his prison cell at Bexley Magistrates’ Court.
