Residents, imagine finishing a long theatre performance and THIS is waiting for you 😭🎭
Aaron Pierre, who is currently starring in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest at The Old Vic, went viral after being met by a group of fans singing that Mufasa song at the stage door.
The actor, who voices Mufasa in Mufasa: The Lion King, was surrounded by excited fans belting out the now iconic lines, clearly eager to get his attention.
In the clip, Aaron can be seen reacting with a mix of amusement and exhaustion, even putting his hands together in a joking “please stop” gesture as the singing continued 😩😂
The moment quickly made its way across social media, with residents split on whether it was wholesome or a bit too much.
@queenreenthe1st loved the interaction, writing, “This is a lovely way to greet him. Lovely kids 🙌🏾🙌🏾”
But @blocker_010 saw it differently, saying, “Man done the hand prayers 🙏🏾 begging them to stop 😂 he’s not feeling it”
Meanwhile, @jcocoa_official summed up both sides, adding, “Bless them both. I feel bad because I get both perspectives wholeheartedly. It’s a long day! 😭✨💯”
Residents, wholesome fan moment or overload after a long day? 😭
