Podcast host and presenter who goes by Madame Joyce, publicly called oot presenter and social commentator Zeze Millz on Twitter (X) yesterday evening, after discourse surrounding the conflict in Congo flooded socials.
This came after the podcast ‘90s Baby Show’ sparked outrage after the group of men laughed along to a distasteful joke about Congo, despite the country being war-torn. After the outrage from fans, the podcasters were quick to release a public apology about the segment, however some fans weren’t ready to accept it straight away.
Zeze however, was quite satisfied with the guys’ apology, and questioned why other people weren’t, and implying that ‘taking accountability’ is not really what the fans want.
Many people have since called Zeze out on the message behind a tweet, criticising her on ‘trying to police’ the way apologies should be accepted, especially in this instance as she is not Congolese.
However, Madame Joyce had her own bone to pick with Zeze, calling the presenter out for hypocrisy, with claims that Zeze herself didn’t mind the ‘dog-pile’ mentality when Joyce was the target.
Zeze doubles down on her decision to speak on Joyce the past, claiming that the situations are incomparable.
Joyce then goes on to criticise Zeze for not reaching out to her during her viral moment.
