Usain Bolt is set to make another unlikely return to football after being registered to play for a Sunday league team in Manchester.
The eight-time Olympic gold medallist has appeared on the squad list for Wythenshawe FC Veterans over-35s on the Football Association's Full-Time website.
Bolt, who remains the world record holder for both the 100m and 200m, is registered to play in the Cheshire Veterans League alongside a host of former top-level footballers.
And the Jamaican sprinting icon certainly won't be short of familiar faces.
The team is managed by former Manchester City and Republic of Ireland midfielder Stephen Ireland, while the squad also features former Premier League stars including Danny Drinkwater, Antonio Valencia, Joleon Lescott, Emile Heskey and Marc Albrighton.
Former Senegal international striker Papiss Cisse is also part of the stacked veterans squad.
Bolt has never hidden his love for football and famously attempted to pursue a career in the sport after retiring from athletics in 2017.
The legendary sprinter spent time training with Borussia Dortmund and later joined Australian side Central Coast Mariners in 2018, making two appearances before leaving the club.
He also scored twice in a friendly for the Mariners but ultimately decided against pursuing a professional football career.
Now, almost a decade after retiring from athletics, Bolt could once again be lacing up his boots this time in Manchester's Sunday league scene.
