THREE DEAD AFTER SUSPECTED HANTAVIRUS OUTBREAK ON CRUISE SHIP

Residents… imagine being stuck at sea while this unfolds 😳🚢

Three people have died following a suspected outbreak of Hantavirus on board a cruise ship, with multiple passengers falling seriously ill.

A further three individuals are currently unwell, including a British tourist who is being treated in intensive care in Johannesburg.

According to tracking data, the vessel remains stationed off the coast near Praia, with authorities taking strict precautions to contain the situation.

Local health officials have confirmed that passengers will not be allowed to disembark at this stage, in an effort to protect the local population and prevent any potential spread of the virus.

Hantavirus is typically transmitted through contact with infected rodents or their droppings, and while outbreaks are relatively rare, they can be extremely serious.

The situation has left passengers effectively stranded at sea, with uncertainty growing around how long restrictions will remain in place and what further measures may be introduced.

Health authorities are continuing to monitor the situation closely as investigations into the outbreak remain ongoing.

Residents, be honest… what are you doing if you’re stuck on that ship? 😳🚢
