Residents… the watch world is about to go into meltdown 😭⌚
After a week of rumours and online detective work, Swatch has officially confirmed its collaboration with luxury watch giant Audemars Piguet.
The new collection, titled “Royal Pop”, features colourful Bioceramic mechanical pocket watches inspired by AP’s iconic Royal Oak design.
But this is not your typical luxury watch drop.

Instead of being worn traditionally on the wrist, the watches are designed to be worn around the neck, clipped onto bags or carried as pocket watches, blending luxury fashion with playful streetwear energy.
The collaboration officially launches on Saturday, May 16, and already has collectors preparing for huge queues outside stores across the UK.
In a major twist, the watches will only be available in selected Swatch boutiques, with no online release at all. Customers will also be limited to purchasing just one watch per person, per day, per store.
The teaser campaign had already sparked heavy speculation online after fans noticed subtle references to the Royal Oak design language, but this marks the first time Swatch officially placed the Audemars Piguet name directly alongside its own branding.
The newly released campaign visual features a bright turquoise “Royal Pop” logo alongside pop art inspired graphics, confirming the collab fans had been predicting all week.
In the UK, the watches will be sold across 13 selected boutiques, including five London locations at Westfield London, Oxford Street, Carnaby Street, Battersea Power Station and Covent Garden.
Regional stores in Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow, Cardiff, Sheffield, Newcastle and Edinburgh will also stock the collection.
Residents, are you lining up for this one or is the hype getting out of hand? ⌚😭
