MISSRFAB SHARES FINANCIAL HACK THAT KEEPS HER IN DESIGNER

Internet personality Miss RFabulous, whose real name is Renee Donaldson, is no stranger to virality. A recent clip from her TikTok Live has been making the rounds, with viewers praising her for her honesty and transparency when it comes to money and lifestyle.

During the livestream, Renee, wearing her natural hair, a grey hoodie and French tip nails, responded to a commenter asking about her Van Cleef bracelet. Her answer was immediate and unfiltered:

“I cannot afford Van Cleef… this is called VanSHEIN! ”

The moment quickly caught traction, with her coining a term that neatly sums up a growing consumer mindset.

She revealed that her bracelet cost just £1.31, a tiny fraction of the price of the original. Commenters flooded the chat encouraging her to trademark “Vanshein”, using it to describe buying designer inspired pieces from fast fashion platforms.

Shein, which rose to global prominence between 2015 and 2020, is known for its low prices and wide range of trending items, often including dupes of high end designs. By contrast, the authentic Van Cleef bracelet she referenced typically retails anywhere between £1,200 and £5,000, placing it far outside the reach of most consumers.

Renee has built her online persona on saying what others might be thinking. In a digital space overwhelmed by exaggeration and carefully curated luxury, her transparency is refreshing.

“I’m not a name brand girl… you’ll see me in dupes or fakes,” she said, reinforcing her stance without hesitation.

She also pointed out a practical benefit of her approach, joking that her shopping habits make her less of a target:

That’s why no one can rob me. My good money will never be spent on designer stuff.”

Beyond personal preference, Renee frames her frugality as intentional. Currently pregnant with her second child, she explained that her priorities lie elsewhere.

“I’d rather invest in my child’s savings over a bag that can break at any moment,” she said, offering a perspective rooted in long term thinking rather than short term image.

While buying dupes is nothing new, Renee’s openness cuts through the performance often associated with online lifestyles. In a time where luxury is heavily promoted, and often expected, her approach feels more reflective of everyday reality.
