An 18 year old beauty pageant contestant faced an unexpected and awkward moment at the Miss Grand Thailand 2026 preliminary competition in Bangkok on Wednesday March 25 when her cosmetic veneers suddenly became dislodged while she was delivering her introduction on stage. The incident was broadcast live on GrandTV and was quickly shared widely online.
The clip showed the contestant, Kamolwan Chanago, struggling with her words as her veneers became loose in her mouth. Instead of fleeing the stage in embarrassment she briefly turned her back to the audience to fix the dental pieces then showed off her stylish pink outfit with poise before heading off stage.

Chanago’s reaction to the situation drew praise from many watching online with people commending her for remaining calm and composed under pressure. One person commented,
"She handled this better than most of us handle a bad hair day. Is this the most iconic pageant moment ever?"
Another person said,
"It's okay babes, you're still gorgeous, who cares!"

A fellow viewer went further adding,
"She should win the pageant for displaying such poise during what could also have been a medical emergency had she swallowed them or they fell and she tripped on them."
After the incident a spokesperson for Miss Grand International commented on Chanago’s mishap saying,
"During her on stage introduction, Kamolwan Chanago experienced a minor and unexpected incident in which her veneer teeth became dislodged."
They added,
"She handled the situation with professionalism and composure, and the event continued smoothly without disruption. We are proud of her confidence and stage presence throughout the competition."
