Love Island series 11 winner Mimii Tafara has hard launched her new man on TikTok, marking the first time she has publicly shown a romantic partner since her split from Josh Oyinsan. Mimii and Josh won the series together in 2024, but their relationship came to an end two months after leaving the villa.

Hints that Mimii was no longer single began a week earlier when she posted a carousel of photos on Instagram. While subtle, the message was unmistakable. Out of the 13 images, two suggested she was quietly seeing someone. The first was a picture of two pairs of feet, one clearly Mimii’s and the other belonging to a man, both positioned facing each other. The second was a split screen image, the top half showing Mimii holding a man's chin, revealing only part of his lips and lower face, and the bottom half showing Mimii’s own lips and chin, a photo clearly taken by the mystery man.

She captioned the post,

“on a date, kinda nervous x”.

The soft launch quickly turned into a full reveal. A week later, Mimii took to TikTok to hard launch her man. In the video, she is seen lip syncing to Sza’s song BMF to the lyrics,

“That's why he my man. Young and he fine and he tall and he handsome. Talkin' so fine, I might hold it for ransom.”

As she performs, a young, fine, tall and handsome man steps into the frame behind her, holding a cat as the pair dance together. Although the clip lasts only nine seconds, it has sparked plenty of conversation online.

Fans were quick to share their joy in the comments. One commenter said,

Another wrote,

“Too cute! If my man isn’t dancing in the back like that then I don’t want him lmao!”

This marks the first time Mimii has gone public with a man since her split from Josh Oyinsan. The pair made Love Island history as the first and so far only Black couple to win the show.
