Molly Smith and Tom Clare have announced their engagement after falling in love on the 2024 series of Love Island: All Stars, where they were crowned winners.
Sharing romantic photos from Dubai, the couple revealed the news with the caption: “SHE SAID YES!!!” as Tom lifted Molly into the air. Surrounded by white flowers and candles, Molly, 31, looked radiant in a silk dress while showing off her sparkling ring. The couple were originally in Dubai to celebrate Tom's birthday, however, an unsuspecting Molly was unaware that Tom had something far more memorable planned.
Their relationship has moved quickly but steadily since the show. Last year, the pair bought their first home together. Announcing the milestone on social media, Molly said: “We bought our first home… Home is where the heart is. We’ve officially bought our first home, we couldn’t be happier.” The couple also launched a renovation account to document the project.
Before the big move, Tom had already moved into Molly’s Manchester home. Speaking on Olivia Attwood’s So Wrong It’s Right podcast, Molly revealed: “He lives in Battersea but he’s moving out. So poor Casey’s probably thinking, Oh great. I’m stealing him. But he’s moving in with me in Manchester. We’ve practically lived together from the day we’ve met, and he’s practically living at mine now.”
The engagement has been met with excitement from fellow Islanders. Tom’s best friend, Casey O’Gorman, reshared the announcement with crying emojis, while fellow islanders Liberty Poole, Paige Thorne, and Luca Bish also sent warm congratulations. Molly originally appeared on season six of Love Island, where she was dumped on Day 38, while Tom came third in season nine alongside Samie Elishi. Their romance began when Molly entered All Stars as a bombshell, surprising her ex-boyfriend Callum Jones. Though viewers speculated about a possible reunion, she pursued Tom instead.
Since their victory, Molly has secured a series of lucrative deals, collaborating with Boohoo, Abbott Lyon, Alani Nu, L’Oréal Paris, and Maybelline. Reflecting on her relationship, she told the Daily Mail:
“You know sometimes when you think, ‘Is this too good to be true?’ I don’t like jinxing things but right now I can’t fault our relationship.”
At 26, Tom has proven to be a devoted partner, with Molly previously admitting: “Our age difference used to bother me… but Tom for his age shows so much maturity and he’s actually treated me better than anyone I’ve been with.”
