Lee Andrews has called for Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid to be sacked after claiming she mocked him during a discussion about his recent time in custody in Dubai.

The businessman, who is married to former glamour model Katie Price, hit out at the ITV presenter after a segment aired on Good Morning Britain discussing his absence from a planned television appearance and the circumstances surrounding his recent legal ordeal overseas.

The dispute began after Andrews and Price had been expected to appear together on the breakfast programme. However, Andrews failed to take part, leaving Price to appear on the show by herself. His absence reignited questions surrounding his situation in Dubai, where he was recently detained before returning to social media with his version of events.

During a subsequent discussion on Good Morning Britain, entertainment correspondent Richard Arnold provided viewers with an update on Andrews. As details of his claims were discussed, Susanna Reid appeared visibly sceptical.

One remark in particular drew attention when Reid reacted to Andrews' account by saying:

"I think my eyes just rolled out of my head."

Andrews accused Reid of unfairly judging him and argued that she had formed an opinion without hearing his side of the story. Responding to Reid's remarks in a video shared on his Instagram story, Andrews said:

"So what is Susanna Reid rolling her eyes at? I'm not going to comment on that because obviously, I'll get onto the sofa with Katie at some point and we'll thrash it out. And then she can be as forthcoming as she likes but to judge me without any evidence and calling me a conman, that's ridiculous. She should lose her job for that. Your prejudice towards me without actually any solid evidence other than an ex coming forward with a story. If you're an investigative journalist, and surely you should know that.

"I'll say it one more time - the National Guard who took me in the beginning have guns and they don't register you as being arrested.

"They just take you and hold you and that is what happened. Anywhere in the world you go to an airport, they have guns, they're patrolling the border and they took me, not in the best way either. It was not the best experience and from there, they held me in state security."

The latest clash follows an earlier appearance by Katie Price on Good Morning Britain, during which Reid openly questioned whether Andrews had been completely honest with his wife.

At the time, Price defended her husband and maintained that he had done nothing wrong. She also rejected suggestions that he had deliberately avoided appearing on the programme.

Questions surrounding Andrews have persisted for weeks following reports connected to legal allegations in the United Arab Emirates, allegations that he has repeatedly denied.

The controversy intensified further after Andrews spoke publicly about his experiences in Dubai, claiming he had been subjected to dramatic circumstances during his detention. Those claims have been met with scepticism from some commentators and television personalities, including Reid.
