As the UK general election campaign continues, politicians are pulling out all the stops to get every vote possible. Dawn Butler is one such MP. The Labour candidate for Brent East has released a parody of “21Seconds” by So Solid Crew. The song reminds the public they have 21 days before the national vote on July 4 while taking shots at the Conservative party.

Butler turned the 2001 smash hit garage track into an anti-Tory diss track, taking aim at Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's controversial absence from D-Day celebrations in Normandy. "Rishi at D-Day -where did he go?", she jibed. "Say Rishi at D-Day - where did he go? Like don't let a liar run the show."

Elsewhere in the track, Butler rapped that the "Labour party are here to stay, we're going to the very top, the Tories, their time is up," adding, "Cause Tories - they're too corrupt."

Many Residents took to our Instagram page to comment on the video – with the majority seeing the funny side. One Resident wrote: “Rishi, you have 24 hours to pull up to the petrol station or it’s a forfeit.” While another added: “social media manager needs a raise.” A third chimed in “I've never voted ever in my life. This might change that.” However some were a little bewildered by the video, with one Resident writing: “What in the House of Commons is going on?!?!?”
