Katie Price has opened up about the emotional moment she finally made contact with her husband Lee Andrews after he reportedly went missing in Dubai for nearly two weeks. Speaking on the latest episode of her podcast, the former glamour model revealed her relief after learning Andrews was alive and being held in custody overseas.
“Today was the day,” she told listeners. “Lee has been found alive — I’m so happy.”
Price explained that the pair shared a brief one-minute phone call after authorities located him. During the conversation, she claimed Andrews described being questioned by officials who allegedly suspected him of espionage-related activity.
According to Price, Andrews said he had been interrogated while detained and claimed officers had covered his head with a hood during questioning.
The TV personality admitted she did not hold back when explaining how the public had reacted to his disappearance.
“I told him people think this whole thing is a scam,” she said, adding that she warned him he had become “the most hated man in Britain” while speculation about his whereabouts spread online.
Price also revealed Andrews asked whether she had feared he was dead during the period he was uncontactable. She confessed that, after days without any information, the possibility had crossed her mind.
The mother-of-five thanked both police and embassy officials for helping track down her husband and supporting the family throughout what she described as a distressing situation.
Addressing rumours surrounding activity on Andrews’ social media accounts during his disappearance, Price insisted he had not personally accessed his phone.
She claimed authorities had confiscated the device during his detention and suggested any unusual follows or online activity may have happened while it was in official possession.
“He hasn’t had his phone at all,” she explained. “They’ve been going through it while he’s been questioned.”
Price also dismissed speculation about another woman Andrews had reportedly followed online, claiming there had been no inappropriate contact and that the connection dated back several years.
Looking ahead, the reality star said she intends to sit down with Andrews publicly once he returns so he can explain exactly what happened during his time in Dubai.
She even joked that the experience had uncovered a hidden talent for investigative work after officials reportedly praised her determination during the search.
However, not everyone in her family approved of how she handled the ordeal, with her sister Sophie revealing that their mother was unhappy about a song Katie recorded while Andrews was still missing.
Meanwhile, new reports have suggested Andrews may not have been detained over spying allegations after all. Instead, sources claim the situation relates to a private civil dispute involving a financial penalty, with Andrews reportedly expected to be released in the coming days.
