

Comedian and social media personality #LVGeneral, real name Augustine Mitchell, has been charged with rape following an alleged incident in south east London.
Mitchell, 37, appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court last month and was remanded in custody. He later attended a bail application hearing at Woolwich Crown Court on June 8, with the outcome not yet publicly known.
The offences are alleged to have taken place on May 24 in Lewisham.
A second man, #MarcelJohnson, 39, of Grove Park, has also been charged in connection with the investigation. Johnson faces charges of kidnap with the intention of committing a relevant sexual offence, as well as two counts of rape.
Johnson was released on bail following his appearance at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on May 27.
The two are awaiting a further hearing, with no date set yet. Johnson is out on bail while LV General, Augustine Mitchell, is currently on remand.
Mitchell is known online for his comedy content, pranks, challenge videos and opinion-based uploads, building an audience of more than 100,000 subscribers on YouTube.
