Twitch streamer and I’m A Celebrity winner Angry Ginge aimed a savage dig at London during the 2026 Brit Awards, but viewers watching at home didn’t hear the full comment after it was censored mid-broadcast.

This year’s ceremony was held at Co-op Live on Saturday night, marking the first time in the event’s nearly 50-year history that it has taken place in Manchester rather than London.
Angry Ginge took to the stage alongside reigning darts world champion Luke Littler to present an award. However, as he began addressing the crowd, the audio suddenly cut out for viewers at home, creating a noticeably awkward moment during the live ITV broadcast.
Inside the arena, they heard every bit of what he said, sparking laughs all over the crowd.
After enthusiastically shouting, “Hello Manchester!”, Angry Ginge added: “It is an absolute privilege to see the Brits in Manchester because it shows people are realising London is a sh*thole.”
The comment was met with loud cheers from the crowd in Manchester, but the explicit language triggered an immediate audio cut on the live broadcast. Littler appeared slightly caught off guard, responding with a brief “Okay,” before moving the segment along and presenting the award.
Speaking later to the BBC, the Salford-born creator doubled down on his support for the decision to host the event in Manchester.
“I’m glad that they have awoken their eyes to how good Manchester is,” he said. “Hopefully, Manchester doesn’t become like London, but hopefully there’s more events like this in Manchester. It’s the place to be.”
