ANGRY GINGE LEFT DISAPPOINTED AFTER ATTEMPT TO REMOVE RACIST FAN FROM WORLD CUP MATCH FAILS

YouTuber and streamer Angry Ginge has received widespread praise after confronting a football fan accused of making racist remarks during England's World Cup draw against Ghana, before expressing his frustration that the supporter was allegedly allowed to remain in the stadium despite being reported.

The online personality, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, documented the incident in a vlog uploaded to his second YouTube channel while attending Tuesday's goalless draw between England and Ghana.

Angry Ginge has become one of Britain's biggest online creators through his football content, gaming streams and collaborations with the Sidemen, Beta Squad and other major creators. He has built an audience of more than one million YouTube subscribers and millions more across social media, before reaching an even wider audience after winning I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

During his vlog, Burtwistle explained that he and several others had reported a supporter after allegedly hearing racist comments directed towards the Ghanaian team.

Describing his conversation with a steward, he said:

"Apparently, the steward said he can't kick him out unless he does it again. I said, 'there's no way on Earth, all of us have heard it, he's kind of got to go'.
"So, they'll get a team to kick him out or something, but I don't know, we'll see."

However, when Burtwistle later returned to his seat, he discovered the supporter was still there.

The individual, whose face was blurred in the video, appeared to apologise, saying:

"I'm sorry about my comment about Ghana. It won't happen again."

Burtwistle was unmoved by the apology.

"No, it won't happen again because you're gonna get thrown out, mate," he replied.

When the man then asked:

"Can we not just forget about it?",

The YouTuber responded:

"Forget about you being racist? No mate."

As the supporter asked not to be filmed, Burtwistle added: "Don't be racist."

Although Angry Ginge initially believed the man would be removed from the stadium, he later revealed that never happened.

Following the match, which finished 0,0, Burtwistle said he was shocked to see the supporter still leaving the ground with everyone else, despite what he described as multiple witnesses and video evidence.

Speaking after the game, he criticised the handling of the incident by stadium staff.

"It's absolutely not good enough from the American stewards. The message before the games always in football is kick it out, if you see it, say it.
"The guy, he's not been kicked out the stadium, we saw him as we left. He's been able to watch the whole game after some of the things he was saying about the Ghana team, I'm not going to repeat them."

He continued by expressing his frustration that, despite reporting the alleged comments immediately, no action appeared to have been taken.

"I think it's an absolute f***ing disgrace he's been able to stay in and watch the game, after having evidence on the vlog. I've reported it and the five witnesses, all of us, heard him say it, and he's still been able to watch the game."

Burtwistle also questioned why the supporter appeared to have been given another opportunity after the initial complaint had already been made.

"The steward that came up to me the first time said, 'alright, well, if he does it again, tell me'. I said there can't be a next time, otherwise everyone gets two chances, it's ridiculous."

He concluded by claiming the supporter was eventually approached by a steward but was still not removed from the venue.

"At the end of the day, the steward came to remove him, he walked off, steward followed him, and then didn't even get rid of him, so, just an absolute f***ing joke."

The incident has sparked widespread discussion online, with many praising the YouTuber for refusing to ignore what he had witnessed and for speaking up instead of staying silent. One person commented:

“Love this! There’s no need for racism at all. We should all be as outraged about any form of racism and do what’s in our power to make a change!”

Another wrote:

“Hope others learn from this. You can stand up, you don’t have to sit in silence.”

Another wrote:

“When people ask what allyship is and what actions can be taken, please be influenced by this young man! Angry Ginge, thank you!!!”

While many supporters left the stadium talking about the football, Burtwistle's actions became one of the biggest talking points online. For many, the focus was not just on the alleged racist remarks themselves, but on the importance of challenging them when they happen, and ensuring that speaking out is backed up with meaningful action.
