Former Love Island star Witney Adebayo has accused her ex-boyfriend, and fellow Love Island star, Lochan Nowacki, of allegedly calling her skin “dirty” during their relationship. Whitney made the revelation in a quick post and delete, beginning with a stunning beach selfie in a hot pink bikini captioned “you look happier”. She then followed it up with another snap of her on the beach saying “Thanks! I finally fell in love with my skin he used to call dirty”.

Although Whitney did not originally name a specific person as the “he” in question, fans were quick to believe the post was about her ex, Lochan. However, it soon became clear that she was in fact referring to Lochan after she clapped back at a commenter who came to Lochan’s defence. The commenter told Whitney that she hopes Lochan sues her for accusing him of racism, and criticised Whitney for only speaking up now. But Whitney hit back at the comment, saying:

“you cant sue if it’s true, have a blessed day”.

Commenters struggled to believe that Lochan could have made such comments with a handful of social media users even accusing Whitney of lying and being “messy”. Others went on to criticise Whitney for staying with Lochan after the comments were made. However, Whitney’s sister, Liz, soon came to her defence, posting an alleged screenshot of Lochan pleading for Whitney’s forgiveness after the comments were allegedly made.

The screenshot shows Lochan begging Liz to speak to Whitney on his behalf, saying: “Please speak to whit she is fully done and I feel awful but I never said it thinking her skin is dirty I feel sick I crossed line with joke but she said she can’t look at me the same. I don’t know what to do Liz”.

Lochan then admitted that he “f*cked up”. Liz also defended her sister against the hateful comments, saying:

“the fact that evidence is needed is absurd to me why can’t women speak and be heard? I’m tired of seeing people constantly paint my sister as this person and jumping on the ‘hate Whitney’ bandwagon. I know what she went through and the fact that it took this long for her to heal and share her truth to be shamed is vile. As women we’ve all stayed in situations that didn’t serve us but when you get out, that’s when you really start to become a woman. Be kind and give grace”.

Although Lochan has remained tight-lipped on the situation, fans suspect that Whitney is being more vocal about their relationship because of Lochan’s recent cooking collab with American Too Hot To Handle star, Brianna Balram. Social media users quickly insinuated that Lochan and Brianna would make a cute couple, with one commenter saying the pair looked “amazing” together. However, Whitney was less than impressed with the collab, posting a shady Snapchat saying: “using another sister for click bait, president”. But there may be more to the romance rumours, after Brianna revealed she was “impressed” by a well-known UK celeb she collaborated with.

After making their relationship official in the summer of 2023, Whitney and Lochan sadly announced their split in April this year. Although no exact reason was given for the breakup, Whitney said on her What’s It Giving? Podcast:

“When he came over and chose his f***ing self, he was like, ‘I’ve seen how much you’ve changed, and you’re becoming like the woman that we always spoke about you becoming. And I’m just not willing to do that,”.

She also posted an emotional video to her Instagram, saying: “The day he chose to stop choosing us, the day he chose to stop choosing me. And just like that, I found myself alone.” She added: “Maybe it was just one of those heartbreaking moments where it was the right person, but the wrong time.”
