The Queen Holds Weekly Meeting With Boris Johnson Despite Having COVID

The Queen of England was diagnosed with COVID 19 on Sunday but she seems to remain resilient despite the disease.

Buckingham Palace said on Sunday that Queen Elizabeth, who has been fully vaccinated and had a booster shot, would continue with "light" duties at Windsor Castle over the coming week.

The 95-year-old monarch held her weekly audience with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson via telephone on Wednesday, a move that debunked rumours of her death reported by Hollywood Unlocked.

Queen Elizabeth had previously had cancelled her virtual meetings on Tuesday after suffering cold-like symptoms.

At her age, a COVID 19 diagnosis is a huge cause of great concern for British officials and the public. However, being well enough to speak to Johnson was taken as an encouraging sign.

The pair have held their weekly audiences – which follow Prime Minister's Questions in the Commons – by telephone for much of the pandemic.
